Szélrózsa(sail-rose-zha) is Hungarian for "Wind Rose", the graphic that shows directions on maps. From here, the direction is East.
The band plays a wide variety of music from all over the region, ranging from delicate Hungarian folk songs to exuberant Gypsy, Romanian and Klezmer tunes.
Not to mention, Serbian, Croatian and Bulgarian tunes.
All of these musics have a lot in common once you get past the labels. We come to this band from different directions but take great joy in playing and sharing this music.
